Passion turned into Service! Empowering Kids To Succeed (EK2S)! 

Idea that sparked from Introspection in 2010 got realized in 2016! Amazing Four Years of Learning and getting empowered together! We have started with Math Fun For Kids event 12 kids participating in the event in our apartment on 26-Dec-2016. http://www.ek2s.com

We have been doing Physical events here locally in the Orange County, California area! We are grateful to Irvine Ranch Water District for providing their facility for free of cost for our events from the beginning! Due to Covid situation from March 2020 we have started doing virtually. Now we are able to reach kids globally. Every adverse situation brings new positive opportunities!

Empowering Kids To Succeed (EK2S) Community has grown from 10 families in 2016 to 700 plus families in 2020! We are grateful to friends, families, and kids for their continued participation, feedback, and encouragement!

George T. Whitesides, Chief Space Officer, Virgin Galactic presented the exciting steps forward in Virgin Galactic’s development of a new generation of high speed aircraft. George  also discussed the opportunities for Students, and the entrepreneurial opportunities in the commercial “New Space” landscape for scientists, entrepreneurs and investors.

First of all thank you very much for all your participation, support, feedback, guidance, and encouragement! Here are the updates!

1. Empowering Kids To Succeed℠: We have started with a Math Fun For Kids℠ event with 12 kids in our apartment during Christmas Holidays in 2016! Since then we have been enabling kids to get empowered through various interactive activities. Many thanks to all of you for your continued support and guidance! We would like to express our special thanks and appreciation to friends and families in Orange County, California for all their continued support for the last 4 years.

2. Virtual Events in Learning Aerospace and Making of an Off-Road Sports Car: We have started virtual sessions in June 2020. We thank and appreciate very much the following event contributors.

• Learning Aerospace - 15-Jun-2020 and 20-Jun-2020 - Akhil Ramalingam -  Student - Irvine High School, Irvine, California. We have been getting guidance, support, and encouragement from Mr. Sivasankar Thillaipandian - Scientist / Engineer - Inertial Systems Unit - Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) -  Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

• Making of an Off-Road Sports Car - 28-Jun-2020 - Akash Pavan, and Anito Francin Shobith - Team Screwtenizers - International Student Vehicle Design Team - Government College Of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India

We thank and appreciate Mr. Sivasankar Thillaipandian, Akhil Ramalingam, Akash Pavan, and Anito Francin Shobith for all efforts and willingness to share help kids.

5. We have our next event - Whats & Hows - Learning Aerospace:  This is an interactive workshop to provide the overview and share the learning option(s) using Kerbal Space Program Software. Akhil Ramalingam (Student - Irvine High School, Irvine, California) will facilitate and lead this workshop. Schools usually teach kids on things such science math, science etc. Some parents send their kids for Tutoring.  Also parents teach kids various things at home. At the end we teach kids. We are not helping them to learn how to learn or empower them to learn.

Parents, Teachers, and Tutors could teach kids only for certain period. Beyond that kids need to stand up on their own.

Empowering Kids is about helping kids to learn how to lean on their own by inquiry, and collaboration. Empowering Kids To Succeed coaches/facilitates kids through our RAPIDS (Realize, Adapt, Persevere, Inquire, Develop, and Sustain) Framework to empower kids in learning.

We all think Creativity is born skill. However it is not. We need to help the kids realize that anyone can be Creative. Creativity can be learned by any one.

Empowering Kids In Thinking helps kids coming together, learn basic creativity tools, apply them in a group, and innovate. This helps kids to get confidence that they could become creative by learning.
