Oct 31, 2020 - STEM - The Ingredients List of the Universe - An Overview - This is an interactive session to provide an overview about the Ingredients List of the Universe. Harshini Kirubanand (Student - Kendriya Vidyalaya - Kanjikode, Palakkad, Kerala, India) facilitated and lead this session.
The universe is full of materials with wide varieties. Living and non living, diversities makes it more vivid. Millions of materials, billions of things, Trillions of combinations. But mother nature cooked all these with a handful of elements.
This secret of the nature is understood and revealed in the past few centuries. This investigation is not only very interesting but also very useful in advancement of technologies like material science.
Proper understanding of the periodic table helps us to understand the nature and manipulate to cater the needs of human kind. Permutation and combination of elements in this periodic table make this spectacular world. Careful understanding of these elements and their properties will surely enrich our life. In this talk you will perceive the organization of periodic table, its development over time, its utility etc.
Around 50 kids from the USA, UK, India, and other countries participated in this event. In addition to school kids we also had few college students in today's event. We had great participation, wonderful discussion, and learning! We are amazed and thrilled by the enthusiasm from kids. We appreciate all the kids for their patience and for staying the entire duration of the event!
