A perspective on the moves of our home planet along with its neighbors - This is an interactive session to provide an overview of perspective on the moves of our home planet. Harshini Kirubanand (Student - Aravinda Vidyamandiram Senior Secondary School, Kottayam, India) facilitated and shared her learning.
Its human nature to look at the premises on occupying a new room by opening the windows. Thus our ancestors too wondered seeing the movements of the celestial bodies such as the sun, moon, and stars. Also suspected their connection with the changing climatic conditions and other phenomena on the earth. Indian astronomers contributed much in giving clarity on the perspective of the planets and solar system. It got momentum after the telescope assisted the research. In this presentation, we see various movements of the earth and its details and effects. At the end of the session, we see the same movements in different perspectives as per the latest available information of ever-renewing knowledge.
Around 30 kids from the USA, UK, and India participated in this event. We had great participation, wonderful discussion, and learning! We are amazed and thrilled by the enthusiasm of kids. We appreciate all the kids for their patience and for staying the entire duration of the event!
