The purpose of Empowering Kids To Succeed Events are to provide an opportunity for kids to think critically on their own, collaborate and learn from other kids.
Please ensure your participant name reflects your name. You could rename your participant name by right clicking on the name.
This is a virtual classroom, therefore, appropriate classroom behavior is expected.
Log into your class or meeting from a distraction-free, quiet environment.
Make sure your video is off all the time except the presenter. This will help in getting better audio and presentation quality.
Poll: Please stay on the Zoom App/Presentation to get the Poll Popup Screen and to participate in the Poll.
Please keep your audio on mute This will help to limit background noise.
If you would like to speak or answer a question, use the “Raise Hand” feature. Then un-mute yourself after you are called on by your Host.
When you are speaking, let others know that you are finished by saying something like, “That’s all,” or “I’m done,” or “Thank you,” so that everyone knows you have finished your comments.
Consider using a headset with an external mic for best hearing and speaking capabilities.
Close unneeded applications on your computer to optimize the video quality.
If you would like to use the chat-box, remember that it is public, and a record of the chat is kept and archived.
Please use English as communication language for both chat and speaking during the event so that everyone can understand.
Keep paper and a pen or pencil handy to take notes.
Please take care of your personal needs (appropriate dress, basic hygiene, eating, chewing gum, talking to others in your home, etc.) prior to entering a Zoom classroom.
Please do not use profanity or inappropriate language.
Remember to sign out or “leave the meeting” when the session is finished.
If anyone's behaviors is distracting or inappropriate, event host might remove them from the meeting.

These are not kids play event and this facility is not meant for any children play activities. Absolutely NO Play is allowed inside or outside the property.
Kids are expected to follow the volunteers' instructions.
Only the kids who are participating in the event are allowed.
Filled and Signed Waiver Form is mandatory for all the kids and parents/guardians should submit during the Check-In.
Parents can check-in the kids and pick-up at the end of the event. Volunteering parents need to stay during the entire event.
Math Fun For Kids Event: We will have One Hour of 100% Quiet Environment during Problem Solving so that kids could focus on problem solving with undivided attention. We will not clarify or guide or help kids during the Problem Solving. Kids need to solve the problems 100% on their own with their own understanding of the problem and the solution so that kids could stretch their thinking, imagination, and creativity!.
Mobile phone usage will not be permitted during the entire event.
We need to ensure there is no damage done to any of the furniture/carpets and any other materials/properties in and around the event facility.
We do not help kids in solving the problems while they are solving the problems individually or during the discussion.
We only facilitate the discussion.
If the kids as a team could not solve the problem(s) we can guide them with some ideas and clues. However we should try to avoid giving the solution. This will help kids to stretch their thinking
We do not evaluate or judge any kids’ performance.
There is no right or wrong answer.
It is all about process of solving the problems.
Individual kids’ are the judges of their performance.
We do not give any feedback to kids or parents during the event or after the event.
If any parents would like to know the feedback about kids' performance, please discuss with your kids!
